Barbara Tomšič was born in 1977. She finished her bachelor’s degree in cultural studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, and then enrolled in a master’s programme in sociology at the same faculty. Her work experience has mainly been in non-governmental organisations, volunteering and commerce. She was the head of the Association of Friends of Youth Ajdovscina for seven years and also works as a mentor of study circles (ACS) and extra-curricular workshops for children and youth in Ajdovscina, and recently also in Ljubljana. Since 2012, she has been collaborating with MoTA – Museum of Transitory Art, in operation and coordination. She is self-employed in culture as a producer and critic.
