Dunja Kukovec (1975) is a curator, publicist and producer based in Ljubljana. She has curated, co-curated and organised international cultural events and exhibitions such as: Area Kolaborativa (2004), Get Together (2006) and Share! Like a receipt! at the Škuc Gallery and the P74 Gallery in Ljubljana; Coded Cultures at Freiraum (2004), Museumsquartier in Vienna; Haip Festival of open source art at Cyberpipe (2003) in Ljubljana, international exhibitions at the 12th and the 13th Computer Art Festival in Maribor (2005, 2006), and Pixxelpoint Festival of digital arts in Nova Gorica (2004). She worked as an interim curator at Manifesta 3 in Ljubljana and the assistance curator of Igor Zabel at Individual Systems at Venice Bienniale (2003); from 2004 until 2005, she worked as a project manager at Liffe, the Ljubljana International Film Festival. Together with Katja Kobolt, she was a programme co-director of City Of Women – International Festival of Contemporary Arts (2006, 2007). From 2008 until 2011, she ran the Igor Zabel Association for Theory and Culture. She finally settled down within Red Min(e)d, the feminist curatorial group formed together with Katja Kobolt, Jelena Petrović and Danijela Dugandžić Živanović. In 2013, Red Min(e)d curated the 54th October Salon in Belgrade. Dunja Kukovec is a freedom advocate, art utopist, digital art fan, non-academic creative thinker and a feminist by heart.
